The men who build the future are those who know that greater things are yet to come, and that they themselves will help bring them about. Their minds are illuminated by the blazing sun of home. They never stop to doubt. They haven’t time. To develop the opportunity at hand you must start with the positive attitude that says that there are possibilities and then proceeds to locate and unwrap them.
As the last year ended it is useful as aspiring and developing leaders that we take the opportunity to reflect on the events of the past year on the premise that the past is the platform for the future.
This is important because effective leaders over time not only are wailing to face the brutal facts that the past may provide but are actually distinguished by their ability to use the negative and positive platforms of the past as launching pads for their future hence enhancing their influence and thereby their leadership.
This last year has indeed being a tumultuous one at macro and micro levels, locally as well as internationally.
